Four new service stations were set up on the banks of Jinji Lake before the May Day holiday for the purpose of providing better experiences to tourists.

A 15-minute-walk service system is taking shape in the area, with six service stations built by renovating existing tourist centers and buildings and five new ones. These service stations allow visitors to Jinji Lake to find a place to have a rest or seek help within 15 minutes.

Enjoying a cup of coffee or tea while appreciating beautiful lake scenery

Tourists can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at a service station, and chat with families or friends about the next place they will visit.

The “cabin”, one of the service stations, boasts an outdoor bar surrounded by the camphor tree wood near the Oriental Arc, an iconic building in SIP, and a terrace where guests can look far into the distance. The total floor area of the service station is about 400 square meters. The illy coffee provided here is worth a try.

The service station nicknamed “garden in wind”, which houses an aquatic club, is designed to be an aquatic sports base, and the one to the east of Jinji Lake Bridge is a good place for people who fancy camping and other outdoor activities. There is also one positioned as a tea space.

Each of the service stations was designed based on the surrounding conditions and resources so that it has unique characteristics. From the architectural appearance to the functions, these service stations are really impressive.

The service stations and the surroundings render each other more beautiful, and in combination, they make the Jinji Lake area more attractive.

All-around services at the service stations

The service stations are designed mostly for public benefit. They provide spaces for a rest during tours, information about travel in SIP and help in case of emergencies. Moreover, the service stations themselves are tourist attractions.

The service stations will incorporate volunteer services to provide consultancy to tourists and help the handicapped and others who need help during their tours. Besides, they will hold public-benefit events on a regular basis.

Specifically, the service stations offer over 20 services. They have spaces for reading, tea and sightseeing, lend wheelchairs, strollers and umbrellas, and provide free drinking water. They also provide information about travel routes and traffic, first-aid devices, and chargers for mobile phones.
