A forum on embodied intelligence, which refers to artificial intelligence systems that possess a physical presence, like robots, was held in SIP on Dec 10 as part of the 2024 Global AI Product & Application Expo that opened in the area on the same day.

Sponsored by A New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (AITISA), the event brought together experts, scholars and elites from different industries who shared their expertise and insights with the hope of propelling high-quality development of embodied intelligence.

Sun Lining, a member of Russian Academy of Engineering and dean of Research Institution of Advanced Manufacturing Technology at Soochow University, gave a keynote speech on development of key technologies and coordinated innovation for humanoid robots.

Other guests shared their knowledge on intelligent movements of humanoid robots, embodied multimodal large language model-driven robots for general purposes, and strategies of making breakthroughs in the field of embodied intelligence.

At the roundtable, the participants discussed issues concerning commercialization of humanoid robots and prospects of related business.
