Recently, the 2025 list of “Beautiful China, I’m a Participant” model cases was announced. SIP’s initiative, “Decoding the Path to Social Co-governance for Ecological Environment Protection”, was recognized as a model case for ecological civilization publicity and education in industrial parks.

As a frontrunner in China’s reform and opening-up, SIP has been following the principle of “ecology first” to foster a development mode featuring integrated industrial, urban and talent development, aiming to create a beautiful landscape of people harmonizing with nature.

Since its inception, SIP has been paying high attention to ecological environment protection. Thanks to its consistent efforts, the ambient air quality has been improving, reaching the Grade-II standards of the country, the water environment is getting better and better, with smooth  watercourses and beautiful banks, and the water security is well guaranteed under the “dual-source, dual-channel” water supply system. Besides, soil is protected, and pollution and noise are effectively controlled. The local ecological system shows enhanced stability.

At the same time, SIP has set up comprehensive sewage treatment plants, sludge drying plants, waste treatment plants and hazardous waste management units with high standards to support high-level development of the local ecosystem. It has also established Jiangsu’s first intelligent laboratory for ecological environment monitoring, aiming to take full advantage of AI, Internet of Things and other advanced technologies to reduce cost and improve efficiency of ecological environment monitoring.

On the other hand, SIP supports and organizes various events such as environment-themed painting competitions and nature learning tours for youngsters to increase local residents’ awareness of and participation in environmental protection.
