The final of the overseas young entrepreneurial talents’ rivalries of the 2025 Jinji Lake Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was held on July 11 as part of the SIP leg of the 17th Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites. Young people from the United States, Belgium, Hong Kong and other countries and regions presented 11 projects featuring cutting-edge technologies in AI, new energy and other fields. After expert evaluation, five of the projects gained entry to the final of the 2025 Jinji Lake Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition.

The Jinji Lake Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition is held in SIP and other places at home and abroad each year since 2012 to help discover promising startups and teams in strategic emerging industries such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, advanced manufacturing and new materials. Statistics show that 170 startups standing out in the finals of the previous sessions have raised funds of more than RMB21 billion and achieved fast growth.

This year’s rivalries of overseas young entrepreneurial talents brought together a number of projects aimed at developing world-leading technologies for advancement of AI, new energy, advanced materials, integrated circuits, high-end equipment and so on.

The 11 projects in the final are carried out by young people graduated from world-famous universities such as Stanford University and Peking University, all aged 35 or below. Many of the project teams are composed of members with doctoral degrees.

SIP promises to provide all-around support for projects introduced from the Jinji Lake Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition to settle down in it and strive for stronger development. In return, these projects are expected to help SIP quicken its pace to develop into a world-class industrial park.
