Haobote Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a rehabilitation robotics company, is making significant strides, securing tens of millions yuan in financing and applying for regulatory approval for product registration. The startup exemplifies a successful growth model under the incubation of BLOCK71 Suzhou, a branch of Singapore’s iconic startup hub BLOCK71 in the NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI) in SIP.

The NUSRI, a research arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS), acts as a vital bridge linking global innovation to the local market. By establishing the BLOCK71 Suzhou, it provides a full-cycle startup incubation chain encompassing mentorship, industrial resources networks, and capital access. So far, over 120 high-tech startups have been set up in Suzhou through its chained services, raising more than RMB2.7 billion in total.

Furthermore, the institute has built a comprehensive innovation ecosystem that supports projects from early-stage incubation to acceleration and final market entry. This year alone, 11 new companies, mostly engaged in AI, healthcare and new materials, have been established under the NUSRI’s incubation, continuously fueling local industrial upgrading.
