A robot created by SIP-based ViTai Robotics has drawn widespread attention by deftly handling a needle to prick a balloon without popping it at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) held in Shanghai recently.

“We aim to develop truly dexterous humanoid robots capable of delicate manipulation for everyday and industrial applications,” said Li Rui, founder and CEO of the company.

The breakthrough stems from years of dedicated research by a team of elites graduating from world-famous universities like Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University, Peking University and National University of Singapore.
