The Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park in SIP’s Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort will host the first lakeside drama festival in China from Oct 24 to Nov 16. Using the natural scenery of Yangcheng Lake as its backdrop, the festival aims to create an immersive experience where the audiences become part of the plays.

The festival will showcase 24 well-selected domestic and international productions through a diverse range of activities including public parades, street theater, interactive parties and more, with over 100 performances scheduled each day.

A key attraction is the public parade, characterized by close interactions between audiences and performers. Highlights also include traditional local performances and a Broadway-style musical puppet version of “Beauty and the Beast”.

Meanwhile, the park’s streets and corners will brim with artistic surprises—from the romantic “Lakeside Sunset Concert” and thrilling “Fire Dance” to dreamy “Bubble Show” and humorous “Charlie Chaplin Mime” performances. Inside the park theater, acclaimed invited productions including an avant-garde magic drama will offer professional-grade experiences for dedicated theatergoers.

Additionally, the “Internet Meme Star Gala” will be held. Attendees can interact with hundreds of NPCs (non-player characters) and join a grand music party.
